How do I write an Airbnb title that gets clicks?

Lead with the one thing that makes your place worth clicking, add one concrete benefit like a walkable spot or a feature, and keep it under 50 characters so it isn't cut off. Skip what search already shows, like your city, bed count or the word "new."

The rules Airbnb gives

A simple formula

[What it is, made specific] + [one benefit guests care about]

These are made-up examples to show the pattern. Use only features that are really there.

Where to find your best words

Read your recent reviews. The words guests repeat (the view, the walk to a park, the art, the quiet) are the words future guests are looking for. If many reviews praise the location, "walk to" a named place usually says more than "near downtown."

Words that waste space

"Beautiful," "amazing," "cozy" and "perfect" say nothing a photo doesn't. So does your brand name, unless guests already know it. Swap each one for a fact: a feature, a view or a distance.

Check it on your phone

After you save, look at your listing in the Airbnb app as a guest would. If the most important words are cut off, move them to the front.

FAQ

How long can an Airbnb title be?

Airbnb asks for fewer than 50 characters, including spaces, and shortens longer titles in search on small screens.

Should I put my city or neighborhood in the title?

Not the city, which search already shows. A specific landmark or walkable spot can help if guests care about it, like a park, beach or venue.

Does a better title improve my ranking?

Airbnb says price, quality and popularity heavily influence ranking, and it doesn't single out the title. A clear title can help guests click, which is a separate thing from ranking.

Can I use emojis or all caps?

Airbnb advises against emojis and repeated symbols, and recommends sentence case instead of all caps.

Want someone to do this for your listing?

Listing Lift reads your whole listing and reviews and sends a one-page makeover with the title, description, photo order and quick wins. $49 for the first 10 orders, then $99, by email, no calls.
